
PRESIDENT
Revd Gustaf Ödquist, Sweden, is re-elected as President of the board. He has a long international working experience for Church of Sweden in Southern Africa and the Middle East, as well as at the international department of Church of Sweden where he held various positions including peace and conflict issues. He is currently doing parish ministry in Gothenburg.

Dr Thomas Bamat, USA, is a sociologist and the Senior Advisor on Justice and Peacebuilding for Catholic Relief Services. He provides proposal to programming and evaluation support to staff around the globe, promotes the implementation of CRS’ peace and justice strategy, and fosters effective networking and applied learning.

Revd Myra Blyth, Great Britain, is Chaplain and Tutor in Pastoral Studies at Regent’s Park College, in the University of Oxford. Her Doctoral research is in the area of peace and conflict resolution and particularly restorative justice. Between 1988 and 2000 she worked at the World Council of Churches in Geneva as Europe Secretary and the Director of the Commission on Inter Church Aid. From 2000-2004 She served as Deputy General Secretary of the Baptist Union of Great Britain.

Sr Marie-Laure Dénès OP, France, is a Dominican sister of the Roman Congregation of St Dominic since 1994. Her academic background is in Politics and Theology. She has been the Secretary General of the French commission for Justice and Peace of the French bishops’ conference between 2004 and 2011. She has also been the Secretary General of Justice and Peace Europe.

Revd Vebjørn Horsfjord, Norway, has been the assistant General Secretary of the Church of Norway
Council on Ecumenical and International Relations and was between 2006 and 2010 the General Secretary of the European Council of Religious Leaders, which is part of the global Religions for Peace network. He is now a research fellow and PhD candidate at the Faculty of Theology at the University of Oslo. His field of research is inter-religious relations and international Christian-Muslim dialogue.

Ms. Kati Jääskeläinen, Finland, has worked as the Secretary for human rights and peace issues in the Church Council of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland 2004-2011. Her academic background is in International relations and International law. Her career includes positions as Acting Secretary General, Finnish League for Human Rights, Helsinki, Project designer and project assistant at the University of Helsinki, Department of Political Science.

Ms. Alice Nderitu, Kenya, is a Commissioner with the National Cohesion and Integration Commission and a Transitional Justice Fellow of the Institute of Justice and Reconciliation. She spearheads work on education and mediation in the Commission and also serves on the UN mediation roaster. She also worked at the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights founding the Department on Human Rights Education. Prior to joining the Commission, she directed the Education for Social Justice Programme Fahamu, developing and running training courses on human rights and conflict prevention.
