Welcome to the Life & Peace Institute The Life & Peace Institute (LPI) is an international and ecumenical centre that supports and promotes nonviolent approaches to conflict transformation through a combination of research and action. LPI’s work deals with non violent conflict transformation and research about the role of religion in peace and conflict as well as traditional conflict resolution mechanisms. This focus takes its expression through: - Conflict Transformation programmes and civil society support - Thematic and field based research - Publications and the arrangement of seminars Regional work Projects on peace research and direct work for peace are presently taking place in partnership with regional partners throughout the Horn of Africa, Somalia, in DR Congo, Congo Brazzaville, Sudan and Ethiopia.
